Things to do in Capbreton
Take advantage of an exceptional location: cross the dune (5 min walk) and enjoy some of the best waves in the Landes or simply relax on the immense golden sandy beach.
For something different, learn more about the Gouf de Capbreton (an underwater canyon) or meet dolphins and cetaceans on a boat trip. To enjoy the freshness of the pine trees, there’s nothing better than a bike ride, electric or otherwise, along the Vélodyssée or a horseback ride through the forest, finishing on the beach with a sublime sunset.
For locavores: discover the daily fish market at the Port of Capbreton for ultra-fresh fish.
And to round off the day in style, take a stroll through the night market held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings in July and August in Capbreton town centre.

The concept of the campsite is top notch. We stayed in a caravan that had been refurbished to the latest standards. The owners were great from start to finish!
The atypical rooms are very pleasant, clean and close to the communal areas.
The kitchen and chilli area has a fully equipped kitchen and the sofa/armchair area is a great place to stay late at night and chat. The toilets and showers are clean and very well maintained.
We recommend you 💯%! We’ll be back with great pleasure.
Aparra Surfcamp is all about conviviality and a warm welcome. The kind that makes you forget the Basque rain and enjoy a great holiday ☀️
The caravans are welcoming and full of charm.
The nugget is the atmosphere. They speak every language (even Klingon 🖖 and High Elvish), and there’s sharing, music and barbecues. All orchestrated by Tata Yvanna and Tonton Karim, who are always in a good mood and who want you to have the best holiday ever!
As the other guy in the sunglasses said: I’ll be back!
The place is exceptional, and after a mountain bike ride from Bayonne to Hendaye along the coastline of the Basque Country 🚵♂️, I spent a night there, which was a wonderful experience.
There’s a lounge where you can relax, read a book, cook, or just meet up – the place is close to the beach, yet out of the way and wild. I recommend it and I’ll be going back. That’s for sure!
